I'm new to all this and can't find the problem. Last night I installed TP on my RC3 forum with no problem but when I installed on my 1.0.8 forum I got an error,
2: file_exists() [<a href='function.file-exists'>function.file-exists</a>]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/changelog_TP.txt) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/philmil:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp)
File: /home/philmil/public_html/php/Sources/Subs-Package.php
Line: 401
I checked and everything is set to 777. The problem is it installed but after setting up the blocks they don't show on the page.
Seems like your install is trying to access a folder in the wrong dir on your host
I think you have to go for the manual install on this
Download the manual install package, extract it, upload the files manually to your forum
then download this zip file http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=8251.0;attach=5709
And extract it, upload after you made a backup of the old ones, then point your browser to the manual_tp_install.php and it will make the db install
I get the same problem with v096, any help appreciated. here's the error returned:
2: copy(/home/*******/public_html/smf1/Themes/default/images/english/tpdownload.gif): failed to open stream: Permission denied
File: /home/*******/public_html/smf1/Sources/Subs-Package.php
Line: 961
I set permissions to 777 for the "english" dir to see if that worked, but no go.....
Have you changed the permissions to the content INSIDE the English folder to ?
Yes. no difference.........
copy(/home/*******/public_html/smf1/Themes/default/images/english/tpdownload.gif): failed to open stream: Permission denied
File: /home/*******/public_html/smf1/Sources/Subs-Package.php
Line: 961
heres line 961 copy($source . '/' . $entryname, $destination . '/' . $entryname);
A simple search "line 401" yielded a likely solution (http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?topic=1953.msg15940#msg15940).
I see 401: if (substr($file_info['filename'], -1, 1) != '/' && !file_exists($destination . '/' . $file_info['filename'])) but my php knowledge is very small, are two "&" 's required?
My reply was to the topic starter, Ronlx2, and by simple search I meant typing Line 401 in the search field.
Your issue is not the same as Ronlx2. You have hijacked this thread, inadvertently I presume and G6 let you get away with it.
Please try using the search feature. Type "Subs-Package.php
Line: 961" in the search field. I think you will find your answer using the search feature. If you still can't solve your problem then start your own topic with a detailed post of your issue, what you have tried, and the other info listed in the Posting Guide (//http://).
Ahem..... yep sorry, I came across this using the search..... no results for the search you recommended......
If you do the search from the forum INDEX (forum startpage) you will get the answers :)
