Which is the proble with shoutbox today?
The not enough space, right?
I suggest a "scrolling shoutbox", where the latest msgs are moving like the end tittles of a movie (obviously they will wrap around when reach at end).
The most recent ones (1 or 2) could be a different color let's say red to be directly noticeable.
In that way every msg will observable without manually scrolling from the user.
I have this on my suggestions list, but haven't looked at it yet.
to be honest, i absolutely hated ultimate shoutbox because it scrolled like that. however i support it being an option because there are people who like it *shivers* it was sooo annoying i just had to turn off the scrolling. then i got tp and just deleted it because ultimate shoutbox sucked :P
i tend to agree...but I will add it as an option. :)
I kinda like manually scrolling ;) Call me :uglystupid2: , but too much movement is distracting.

The solution I used for those who found the Ultimate Shoutbox scrolling irritating, was to provide a second theme with no shoutbox. I too have turned off scrolling, but others really like it like that, so I've turned it back on.

not now, but bloc mentioned a while ago that he'd add that capability, i think
Yeah, I noticed he'd said that. When he does add the capability, I will certainly look at installing TP. I do like the optins it provides for different layouts. I am still unsure of the permissions options available though.
