It's time for next Release ;)
I have changed many, many things and added a lot of new features.
NOTE:
This is not a update, it's only a Install version.
Older Felblog Tables are dropped on Install !!
Install Felblog with the SMF Packed Manager.
After the Install you find a new TP-Block at the left side, called "Blogs".
That is the Felblog Navigation Panel.
Steps after install:
1. Go to Admin, Tinyportal - Settings - Module
You find a new Module called "FelBlog". This is switched to ON state after install.
2. Click on FelBlog ÂÃ,»TP-Block settings
Set the parameter for the FelBlog-Navigations Block to your choice. Note, that only Usergroups there here enabled can use Felblog !
Save the setting and go back to module screen.
3. Click on FelBlog Admin
In the Felblog Admin screen, you find upper the Global setting and lower the Access settings. Set the values passed for you.
The Recent List
You can enable the recent list inside the Felblog Navigations Block or disable it and put the recent list in on another Block. For this, you need a PHP Block ...
Create a new PHP Block, get him an title and insert the follow three lines in the body:
global $sourcedir;
require_once($sourcedir .'/FelBlog_inc.php');
FelBlog_Recent();
The Blog Stats
You can enable the Felblog Statistik inside the TinyPortal Statsblock.
Go to Admin - TinyPortal - Block Manager - edit the Stats Block .
Enabale the Blog Stats checkbox and you see a short Blog statistic.
I have added German language to the archive. This needs a manual install.
Step 1: Copy the lang-files to the default Theme\language
Step 2: Modify the TPortal.german.php ... add the lines at the end, there you find in TPortal.german.add.
Now you can play with Felblog ...
Happy blogging ::)
Fel
Archive and Admin-Pictures added.

Nice , Looks good , i'll begin testing the new version now!
lol! FELBLOG! woohoo!
I get two nsty errors from this after installation :-\

I have gone through the install file, and checked every code bit, and all code are there and in the correct place.
What can i do to fix this?
Just one comment , i notice that if you select a text colour when writing the blog and then you submit it the colour of the text doesnt take effect untill you read the whole article instead of the summary.
Eg. This is my text summary
http://www.theteenzone.net/smf1.1rc3/index.php?action=tpmod;blog=view;u=1
Then this is the full article.
http://www.theteenzone.net/smf1.1rc3/index.php?action=tpmod;blog=view;cont=1;uid=1
Iggnore the last post.
I uninstalled the Felblog again, and then reinstalled, and now the errors are gon.
I had the same thing the last time i installed Felblog to, i had to uninstall it one time, and then install it again in order to get it to work with out errors ???

That's right ... at short article preview, all html stuff are removed ...
Fel

$txt['Felblog-0'] = 'FelBlog © 2006 by Feline';
$txt['Felblog-1'] = 'Show all Blogs';
$txt['Felblog-2'] = 'Blog Manager';
$txt['Felblog-3'] = 'Show unread Blogs';
$txt['Felblog-4'] = 'Show tracked Blogs';
$txt['Felblog_modul'] = 'Module: ';
$txt['Felblog_recent'] = 'New Blog articles';
$txt['Felblog_stats'] = 'Blog stats';
$txt['Felblog_stats-1'] = 'Total Blogs: ';

Thanks ..

I like it :up: I like it :up: I like it :up: I like it :up:
I have added some test comments and suggestions on your site Fel :-*
Also added a few small bugs i think :)
Great update, great mods Fel ;D
Thank for hard work
Good new :)! Thanks, Feline. I am trying finish translating in this weekend ;)
I installed the fleblog and it worked great -EXCEPT - after it was installed the quickmod/edit feature for posts stopped working, you would click the quick icon an dthe edit would just hang saying LOADING...., you could click a likn to get out of it but the feature would not work. I uninstalled and reinstalled the felblog and the same thing just kept happening, finally had to uninstall altogether. :(
You have to report this to her in her site.
All problems and Bugs need to be posted there for her to read and fix :-\
Thats the downside when thers no testers before a release to a new version.
There will be errors, and also the tests done to this version of Felblog were all made to TP V.091 and not TP V.095, so i think there are some issues that she need to fix.
But you have to post them at her site so she can see the reports and fix them.
It's need, to check the postings on my site ...
You will finde news and fixed ...
and offcourse I test FelBlog on TP 0.95 and RC3 ::)
Fel
my site
www.impsoft.net
SMF RC3
installed packages:
1. Users Online Today Mod 1.4.0b3 [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]
2. Merge Double Posts 1.0.5 [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]
3. GeSHiSmf 0.0.9 [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]
5. Googlebot & Spiders Mod 2.0.2 [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]
6. Member Color Link 1.8.7 [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]
8. Membergroup Color Legend 1.1 [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]
9. TinyPortal 0.95
When i had FelBlog 0.81b installed had the following issues
"quote" button in posts failed when "quick-reply" was enabled
Also many of these for all users besides admins.
[13-Sep-2006 09:55:19] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function: isallowedtoblog() in /home/impsoft/public_html/tp/Sources/FelBlog.php on line 156
Only admins could get see blog articles and post them all even thou in the admin panel for the blog i check "regular users", all other users/guests got php error above.
In the admin panel.
Also for some reason all of the check box were grayed out beside the one that toggles if regualr users could submit articles.
In your screenshots it looked like you could alow guest to see comments and post them.
I must ask you to browse to Felines site and post the issues with the fel blog there. She run her support for her blog at her own site.
There are some fixes posted there to that could be good to update with.
All things are fixed in today released Update
And ... read the small text under Access section in Felblog Admin ;)
Fel
Is it possible to have the URL like - http://mysite.com/USERNAME/blog
???
I dont think so, Fel blog is all wrapped in to SMF and TP files, and not a stand alone script :-\
you can put this on a redirector ..
create/modify a .htaccess ...
------<snap>------
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^([a-z]+)\.html$ http://mysite.com/index.php?action=tpmod;blog [R,L]
------<snap>------
look at http://www.xyfrauen.de
that points to blog overview on my testsite.

I dont understand this.
What will the URL change to ?
One More question
Users can use it only as a Blog ?
Or they can have it as a simple one Page.
like the one i mentioned here - http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?topic=8694
It's a BLOG module .. not for that, what you want
Fel
Can you help me to do that Fel ?
I have read the thread .. and I think .. No.
That, what you want is't to complexe ...
Fel
I need help with FelBlog
I installed FelBlog + Upgrade few weeks ago.. but didnt turn it on because i was not goin to use it before later.. now that i want to use it i go to the Module manager but only to find that FelBlog is not there.. hmm i go to my packages and i see that FelBlog is installed.. i try to uninstal but ofcourse that gives me a lot of errors.. so what do i do now.. i know that FelBlog is installed.. its just not showing up in the module manager.. maybe it has something to do with the latest TP upgrade ??
Please help, thx
FelBlog Package is installed
(https://www.tinyportal.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg154.imageshack.us%2Fimg154%2F3070%2F1pk3.jpg&hash=2ab504b099bfb230ec7e72ec38752e64fabd96b6)
But not found on Module page
(https://www.tinyportal.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg215.imageshack.us%2Fimg215%2F8132%2F2zc1.jpg&hash=a9d8655d1d5fc5400843d6a07ba05891c96bdf63)
Fixed the problem by deleting the old packages (not uninstalling)
Uploaded the packages again and installed with errors but now the module works fine :)
Thats the same file i had problems with.. seems like the new version of TP has made some changes to that file, so FelBlog needs to be upgraded ???
Yes, Felblog needs to be updated in order to work with TP V.096, im not sure she will make it though, or if she is going to wait until TP V.097 is released
I think, Bloc will release TP 0.97 shortly and I will wait for this ...
Also a new release of FCKeditor comes then.
Fel
Great news Feline :)
I just saw some typos! In the admin lang you have put 'owerview' instead of 'overview'!

Fel
*cries* That basically means no blog module for me until 0.9.7. :( I should have stayed on 0.9.5. Hopefully your right and Bloc releases 0.9.7 of Tinyportal by the end of the month.
Yes .. that's right.
It's a problem with Beta releases, that follow in short cycle.
TP 0.95 works well, also Felblog 0.81-r2 for that.
Next Felblog release comes on TP 0.97 ...
Fel
Well i got it to work by manually installing felBlog.. its only a line in one file that screws up the installation..
It searches for some lines but the TP upgrade added an exstra line in there so the search is not succesful and thats why the installation test fails..
ok .. put in the canges here for other people ... ;)

Fel
I cant remember but i think it was in the file TPblocks.template.php where there was an exstra line so the package couldnt find the string it was searching for !
Yes, this part should not be there
else{
if($story['is_php'])
eval($story['body']);
else
echo $story['body'];
}
Can users change the style?.I'm looking for something like MKPortal's blog module.You can upload templates (that can be selected by the user),and also users can edit the html of the template,so they can fully customize It.Is it possible to add this feauture in the future?.Would be great.
Felblog uses the theme that is already in place from the SMF forum. I doubt she will make it so you can upload templates, but she may make it so that you can select another template like you can with an article in TP. Thats up to her, but I could see that as being an option.
Felblog works inside (as a modul) TP. So you can only use the exist Theme.
Fel
WTF is Felblog anyway??
I'm sorry being rude, but I'm seeing hundreds of topics about Felblog but none says WHAT THIS IS AND DOES! :)
Well, it is of course a blog. Had you went to her site above you could have read more about it.

how can i resolve that....

thank for telling me about this situation....
And i think we close this thread for that very reason IchBin pointed out.
