It wont matter if your away to upgrade anyway.

I just did same thing..ish.

RC2 > RC3 and TP > TP 9.5

Downloaded the SMF Update, extracted and uploaded overwriting what I had. Ran the upgrade.php file. I didnt uninstall anything as I figured it would be gone anyway :)

Deleted all the packages from /packages and uploaded new ones and they all installed ok.
The database seems fine :) and nothing is lost.

These installed in this order with no errors
Arcade E1.3
TP 9.5
Google Bots & Spiders
Streaming

You need to change your theme to default before you upgrade/update anything. Updating to RC3 will delete/uninstall all of your mods in the default, Babylon & Classic themes. You will then need to reinstall your mods and update your other themes.

You shouldn't do, but always make a backup first

If you log onto a theme that is not compatible with the upgraded version you may not be able to view your forum/portal

You need to delete them yourself, both the upgrade.php and any packages that are not suitable to the updated version.

It is probably because you have other mods installed, you will need to manually modify the file.

If thats the only file that faild, download the one i posted as sticky in the installations board
Preceed with the install, and then upload and replace the index.template.php with the one i have posted as a zip package
