hey guys i have seen posts about that say i can do it and some saying i cant.
can someone here tell me if i can and if so were to download the right vershion

Im not sure what you are asking for here, but if you asking for TinyPortal it have been relesed and you fins the package in the doenloadsection :)

If you mean themes (as you post in a theme board) i can only say that some themes (also marked in the downloadsection as 1.1rc3 and TP V.095) will work. but the others have to be updated

Yes, TP V.095Beta will work just fine on AMF 1.1rc3 and SMF 1.0.8, it got released yesterday :)

Look in the downloadsection and you find the new package there, Download the FULL package and install through your package manager in you SMF adminpanel

You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory or one of the files in it are not writable!

i am getting that error anyone able to help me please

If you use the package manager and set the correct FTP account in there, SMF will fix all the settings to your files for you.
Admin/Packages/Options

There you fill in the correct account, and then check the catbox "Cleanup Permissions" Only the standard files are writable.
And then click the button

If that's not working
You have to install TP manually, Download the manual install package, extract the files, upload all the files through your Cpanel or FTP
Then go here and download the files allready made with the code in them, and upload them to your forum the same way.

When you have done all that, you point your browser to manual_tp_install.php and it will install the database tables for TP
Restart your forum and you shoul be good

thanks for that but i have other mods installed and it dont work.

this is happerning to all installs any ideas

Yes, you can do one of two things. You can remove the mods to install TinyPortal, or you can manually install TP and edit in the code for all the files. The instructions are in the FAQ & Documentation board.

i have come to the conclushion its NOT TP. i am haveing the problem with evry mod

yea i am trying them as well throt i may as well ask on here as well after i started a post just incase its a common problem
