I am not good at all with php...thought I would say that off the bat....however I was able to install the pjirc mod on my 1.05 smf board...and it works great...Now the issue

How would I get it to work with the bloc muti theme? Because that is the currect theme we all love and use, I'd hate to use the default smf theme as default...please any help wouyld be golden. Thanks Ralph

it actually does work, you just have to go to the admin panel, the click current theme, or in 1.0.5, you have to go into theme settings first, or something like that. scroll down til you see button 1, then check it off, and in the little text field for the url, type /[yourforumdirectory]/index.php?action=chat
for the icon, make a new button using the button generator that can be found in one of the blocks on the left. then you just upload that to your server and fill in the block for the image in the form for the button by where you entered the URL.

If you are using TP, however, the mod will not work properly. its just the way its built, and there's nothing that can be done about it, i had the same problem. it will actually let the chat program work, but the page will show fatal errors, which mean nothing except they look bad. good luck :)

edit: if you want a chat applet that will not be so hard to use, get the userplane one, can be found at www.userplane.com. its not IRC, its flash based, and has webcam and audio compatability. i really liked it and switched from pjirc right away when i saw it :)
