Found this nice little trick on a site and it really works , my comp used to take 4 min to boot now it only takes 15 - 30 seconds
Click on the start button then press R it will take u to Run well go to run
type Regedit
press enter
this will open Registery Editor
now look for the key
HKEY_LOACAL_MECHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ContentIndex
find the Key Called "Startup Delay"
Double Click On It
Now where it says Base
Click Decimal
Change The Value To 40000
Next time you restart your computer it should start faster
Note : Use this at your own risk , it worked for me but i cant say for sure it will work for you, although it should
O'kay I did it... I'll have to see how it works when I restart and report back..
I think it not really being a kol solution when its just make the PC get a small delay time - things need for hardware wake-up .... ;D
Why not using any tips or third-party softwares (called "teak"Ã, >:D) to get this ... ?
hehe ive no prob with my comp starting.. loads up in less than a min :)
2 more cool tips
Create 2 short cuts on your desktop. name one "shutdown" and the other "re-boot".
for shut down, right click the icon go to properties. paste this :
%windir%\system32\Shutdown.exe -s -t 00
into the target text box.
for the re-boot paste in :
%windir%\system32\Shutdown.exe -r -t 00
Now you don't need to go to start to shutdown :2funny: go figure MS
Fine print:::Note : Use this at your own risk , it worked for me but i cant say for sure it will work for you, although it should
