One thing about the articles feature that I've noticed is quite inconvenient, is that you can set it to either you have to approve a certain member group for all categories, or they can post wherever they want without approval. I would REALLY prefer to be able to set which membergroups can post articles in which categories, and who can view individual categories' articles.
Thanks!
No, its more like allowing membergroups to SUBMIT, then an admin puts it in a category.. :) But you are right about it needing more options and user-friendlyness.
Permissions on category basis is also needed.
yeah it would really be nice to have mods for one board only allowed to post articles in their category without me approving all the time, because i know one will screw it up every time :) will this kind of thing be implemented?
to be honest i dont leave mods/members "Submit Articles" yet, because there are still errors with it in places, i do it threw TPAdmin.. if i've the userbox activated at the bottom is shows "Edit article" (at one time it did show "Submit an article") when i click it.. it brings up a blank page.
and leaves this error in the errorlog.
index.php?action=tpadmin

File: smf\Sources\TPortalAdmin.php

wierd, i never get the "submit" or "edit" button, only my moderators get "submit article".
