Title: Can't load template 'TPortalBlocks'
Post by: teovmy on August 09, 2006, 12:42:11 PM
After I imported a database from SMF in this new database I get an error:

Can't load template 'TPortalBlocks'

your gonna have to be more specific in order for us to help.

Was this transfer from one smf to another? what versions are each? Do you have tiny Portal on the new one before you transfered? What is the link to your site.

We try to help but we cant with only a vague comment that tells us very little of your situation.

Thanks Storm

Ok sorry for that.

I have two SMF databases, completly different from eatchother.

- SMF1 is a database with SMF 1.1 RC2. and some mods install. Nothing more.

- SMF2 is a clean install with SMF 1.1 RC2 AND TP 0.86 installed.

Now I did make a dump of the database from SMF1 en imported it in SMF2.
That's when this error apeared.

Tevomy....   :knuppel2:  :knuppel2:  :knuppel2:  :knuppel2:  :knuppel2:

Why fibble with something that works  :tickedoff:

Upload all the TP files again from the manual install package FILES ONLY
, and then download the  TinyPortal v.0.8.6 - manual install (database only)
Then after you have downloaded that file, upload it to your forum root directory and point your browser to it

Yes hahaha I'm crying over here  :'( :'( :'(
And yes I need a lot of  :knuppel2: :knuppel2: :knuppel2:

But I need the content of the first database to the other.

With all these problems I'm almost a hero member  ;D

I did all that what you said. ftp again the files and so on. does not work. Error stays

No I read about it on the MySql site. And how I did it was the way it has to be done.
But what got wrong is SMF or TP

run the repair_settings.php file from SMF forums downloadsection and then the tp install file for the DB again

When I restore my dump to the new SMF forum everything works fine. As soon as I install (manualy and as packaged) TP it won't work.
When I install it as an package I get the error line I told in the first topic.

I starting to become crazy ;)

Alle right folks it finaly works.

What was wrong:
when I made the dump of my SQL DB and imported it in he new one there where some issues in the tables that has to change. I did this manualy and after that averything works.

Thanx all for helping me, even I did this by my own  ;D
