I have SMF version 1.1 RC 2 and the installation of tiny portal worked fine through the package manager, and then a banner appeared on the top of my forum that tells me thanks for installing tiny portal and you need to restart your forum to see changes, I clicked the restart link, it refreshed but nothing have changed, What should I do then? :'(

There might be that some files didnt get uploaded correct through the package manager, so a way to fix it is for you to download the manual install package, extract the files on you local computer, and then upload and overwrite the files through FTP.

I tried uploading the files in the manual package to the same folder as SMF, then run manual_tp_install.php
I got that:

Variables table exists
Articles table exists
Dlmanager table exists
TinyPortalÂÃ,´s table structure is now installed/updated.
Your default language seem to be arabic. TinyPortal has a increasing number of prepared language files.
Go here to find your language.

Ooops, sorry guys, I was trying to install a left to right theme, to display English correctly.
Anyway I have some problems removing Mkportal now, Yes I admit it I was trying to install another portal :'(

I want to ask one more question, Do I need to change the theme to make Tp appear?
You have to remove all other themes you had installed exept the themes that comes with the SMF package you installed.
When you install TP you have to set your forum to DEFAULT smf theme and go from there.
I didn't kow that, but that's too much tweaking again with the default theme, Is there any way to tweak my theme now to handle TP?
Also, It always display me an error when trying to uninstall TP through package manager (I want to reinstall it)
Well Im looking at dilber MC theme if its not converted for TP than you will not show TP, first switch forum to overall smf default theme and lets see if the tp was installed than we can connect you to the correct themes.
Crip did a conversion for this theme to TP not sure where its at but check other tp themes board.

I installed the dilber MC theme for tp, and switched to it, but still no change, I will try the classic theme..
EDIT: nothing happen with the classic/default theme
Suggestion. Did you back up your forum before you did any of these changes?
If so go back to that point, switch to smf core theme, run the install, than see if it works.
:( That's a hard lesson, Well, I'll try tiny board with another forum, may be it will work well then..

Never ever go about installing anything to your forum ot forum with TP as long as it dont work with the DEFAULT them in the first place.
