Title: Installing Tiny portal on 1.1RC2 - Modification parse error

When i'm installing tiny portal on SMF 1.1RC2, I get the error: Modification Parse Error on the tinyportal080-11rc2.mod file of the tiny portal. If I try to install anyway, it says that it was successful, but the Tiny Portal does not appear on the left side..like I have seen it before..!

Any ideas on what the error could be?

(I have tried to make ALL the files 777..same error, I have also made a "temp" folder under packages, still the same..)

Are you on the SMF Default Theme? Your old themes will not work with TP. It only modifies Default and Babylon from the SMF package.

It's a clean install of smf 1.1rc2, i have not changed anything yet....only trying to install tinyportal..

Download the manual install package for TP V.086 from the downloadsection here, and ftp the files up to your server and overwrite the old ones and see if it helps

What file is it you get the parse error from?

tinyportal080-11rc2.mod is the file that the modification parse error occurs on.

I have only tried through the package manager, i have to do that so that the database scripts will run?

If that is the version you have tried to install, you have an old version.The version you need is
TinyPortal_v.086_rev2 and that package you find here (http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=get99)

the latest version you should be using is .0.8.6.

Thanks, but I am using this version, I followed your link and downloaded the version (just to be 200% sure), but the same error occurs, I attached a screenshot of the tp zip file, there is no file with 086...?

This is very strange I think... :o

What i dont understand is how you can get your files from the TP mod to show as winamp player files :o

Download the manual install package and go with that instead, the best and safest way to get TP installed to your site

Each one of those mod files is for upgrading from those versions. You won't have an 0.86 file because that is what the actual installation is.

My winamp does the same thing G6. It must be some type of music extension or something.
