Title: Need quick Help - Flashchat and Permissions

For some reason, many of my members are banned from the flashchat module.  I think that the common denominator is that they are being denied due to various membergroups.

How do I fix this?

Also, This is a dumb question as I have done this before but I am setting up a moderator on the forum and for some reason, I can't assign him to a moderation group.

Is there anyway to reset to default all of the membergroups so I can start over?

Its a member group issue. There is a fix for it on the flashchat forum, do a search there. It's a common issue, so there are plenty of threads on it, just find an SMF one.

Thats one of the many thread Ichbin. It is related to membergroups in SMF, a couple of small changes in the flashchat files, and it's fixed. I've done it countless times for other people's sites.

I uploaded the fix but my member groups are still banned.  it's wierd also because certain membergroups are banned, not all of them.

I just registered at your forum WSA. If you want, add me to one of the banned groups from your Chat. Then give me access to your FTP and I'll see what I can do.

I've had this issue before too, I followed the fix and it worked fo rme.

its something to do with adding manually the membergroup numbers to a file for smf in the flashchat folder

it was awhile back when I done it, but it seems like I had to only fix one line of code in 2 files.
