Title: Help Please
Post by: Lesmond on July 18, 2006, 12:19:32 AM
I know this is not a window help forum but I was hoping you guys might be able to help :)

I have just d/loaded IE7 beta 3 and now I can not get to my desktop, it says "normaliz.dll is missing" and wont run "explorer.exe" I have tried to login in safe mode to but still no luck, the only way I am able to get here is by the task manager! I have also tried to run the windows recover, but it says I have the wrong admin password  :idiot2:
Please can anyone help? ASAP I just dont know what to do now!

someone i know had the very same problem....
but was over installing Windows Defender BETA Also know as "GIANT Antispyware"

using your task manager goto File - New Task and enter "appwiz.cpl"
this should open the Add/Remove Programs for you, try removing IE7 from there?

And never use Microsoft products again unless you really must! I have IE7 running as well for times when I must use it. You are better to just install another browser like Firefox or Opera and forget about IE.

FireFox and Opera, I have tried them both.  I did not like them.  I guess when you have used something for ten + years, it is hard to change to something else.  I really wanted to change browsers because of the security flaws, but it wasn't worth the headache both gave me, sorry!

:o nooooooo you are doomed...

FireFox is by far the best, when it came it it took a while to get used to but i love it now especially the tab system that was ingenius... and saves so much space on your taks bar :)

the FF beta I am using is a portable one so it can be used on its own without UN-installing  the other one, if that makes sense!

Y'all so many sites just look bad or didn't work correctly using those browers.  Thanks, but no thanks, I will stay with IE.
