I'm getting another hacker changing the username..
Is it doomsday? or the one without the username? I wouldn't worry about that. In the next release IP's are logged.
both are by doomsday, i assume. it's just irritating :( imagine a shoutbox full of hacking entries. defeats the purpose of shoutbox. i'll just go delete it :buck2:
is this person doomsday a member on your forums iwyen??
Yes. A new account.
why not ban him.. that will stop him from posting shouts?
Oh, I've banned him on the spot ;) But that doesn't mean he can't create multiple accounts though I think he'll prefer to disturb the larger boards :P
Thats Why i have my site set to require admin approval of ALL new accounts and also email confirmation .. any ne person starting up.. I check their IP's against what is already known.. You can also block via IP as well as Name .. I only use banning as an absolute last resort..
How i keep tabs on ppl that don't do the right thing is to strip access from those accounts.. and check new accounts against samne IP's , email's , and login names.. in case they try to circumvent the restrictions i've imposed on them
