3. Board Notes 1.0.4
4. Reason For Editing Mod 1.11
5. PaypalDonations 1.6
6. Group Moderators 1.3d
7. Karma Description Mod 1.9.7
8. Users Online Today Mod 1.4.0 Beta 2

In relation to PHP I'm a complete novice and really don't want to start modifying core files manually. If anyone can help I'll be extremely grateful.

Thanks

You can look at the manual install textfile to see what files to add in the index.template.php
The textfile you find here (http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=2481.0;attach=1830)

the other option is to uninstall reversible mods, and see if it will work then.

If that is the only error you have then you'll have to edit the file manually because those mods have already changed the code that TinyPortal is looking for. Quite a few mods don't quite uninstall properly unfortunately. So you still might recieve "Test Failed" even after uninstalling your mods. But it's completely up to you. :)

actually, I guess you are right... I tried following my advice a couple of weeks ago, and it solved some errors - but still needed some manual edits!

errrrr finally had the time to manual modify the files but none of the changes required (ie search for) can be found in index.template.php so I'm a bit lost as to where I should add/replace etc.

Please help

Won't they conflict with the mods I have installed?  :o

You have to add the mods in to the index.template.php yes.

Thanks for all the help, but I don't think I'll bother.

Sorry to hear that you wont bother to work a little for the great things you get with TP.

Its not the amount of work thats involved, its my lack of syntax knowledge with PHP. I wouldn't have the first clue where to re-add the mods that are installed inside index.template.php and very much needed within our forum.

I think it would be easier to reinstall the mods you have, they have much less code in them that goes into the index.template.php

TP have quite a bit of code change to index.template.php so the other way around would have more work to it.

I looked at your mods, and for what i can see, there are just 2 mods that touch the index.template.php, and they only affect in the array and buttons only.
If you look at the mods (arcade, SMF Staff Page ) and read the xml file in them, you see what code they change in index.template.php

Copy that code out from your index you have, and put them in again in the new one after you installed TP. :)
