Title: Total Members Question
Post by: Avinash on June 30, 2006, 03:17:00 AM
I noticed that the Total Members in the Stats Block isn't the same as the Total Members in SMF's Members List. Is there a reason for this? It's not a big problem, but some people have asked me which count is accurate.

Which versions of SMF and TP are u using?

Also did you do any modifications to the SSI file yourself?

Which mods are you running?

And lastly - can we have a link to see this?

Thanks

For somereason it can be diffrent.
I read some time back that Bloc siad this could be fixed by going in to the Adminsection.
Forum Maintenance/Recount all forum totals and statistics. and Empty out unimportant logs.
That fixed it for that member though :)
Also, Max said when i asked about it that guests dont count in to the total member stats  ???

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried those methods through the admin panel but it didn't help. Even here at Tinyportal.net the glitch can be found. The "Some Stats" block currently says Total Members: 7292. But the Memberlist at http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?action=mlist says Viewing Members 1 to 30 (of 7289 total members). Here, its only a 3 user difference, but on my site its more like 50 users different. My site is in my sig.
