There is no feature that will email any articles in TP. Sorry mate. If that is what you are saying. :)
Tanks you very much
I m going search other portal
bye
u can install a newsletter script
and use that to send notifications to ur users
or better yet u can use the newsletter option built inside SMF to send notifications to users!
I doubt any portal will have the option u are looking for....
its something u will probably have to do manually or use a 'newsletter' script with that option in it :)
I would say look on hotscripts.com for a script like that - search for 'news letter'
good luck :)

IT s A PITY
ok thanks you i m going hotscripts.com
Another suggestion I can give you is to go to SMf forum board and ask for a MOD to be made
Maybe someone will make it - but it all depends on if someone agrees to built it for you or not
It'd be nice if there was a way to enhance the ability to send out things by email in TP. Instead of merely relying on what's in the SMF software or a third-party script, if it could somehow enhance it for the whole of the site, including articles, news and announcements that aren't on the forums, etc.
it would also be nice to have a feature on SMF that u press a button in the menu and a Pizza comes out of ur DVD Rom drive :2funny:
jokin :2funny:

Thanks you. I'm going forum smf and I'll make the propouse. Perhaps somme people like do it, because I've looked hotscripts.com but I don't find nothing.
Thank you
Well, what I meant was somehow enhancing what's already built in with SMF so that you can say that TP does have a "newsletter" feature. Even if it's similar to what SMF does and, a bit overkill to design it into TP, it would still be great to be able to say that SMF does have a "newsletter" feature.
I imagine that is something people would really like to have.
here is a newsletter script
I have not used it but it came up on a search I did for newsletters
Maybe it could come in handy for you
manicweb newsletter script (http://www.manicweb.co.uk/scripts/mwnewsletter.php)
SMF already has the functions to send newsletters..I think by using those and adding the actual content(which articles are new etc) it could work for TP. I need to check further, but initally its interesting.
I imagine this goes also under a umbrella of "Portal" functions/feedback, along with TP polls and contact forms for example.
I have published a post in SMF's forum requesting collaboration in the production(elaboration) of a MOD that realizes own(proper) functions of a boletin of news.
A MOD that makes all the necessary functions to create a boletin of news and later distribute it between(among) the users.

Glad to hear it.

Yes, exactly my thoughts. I hope that it would be something that would draw people to TP, as opposed to just saying "No, TP can't do that. You can only do it through SMF or get a third party script.", which could give that extra bit to convince users who may be thinking of using SMF or another portal / cms script equally, to use SMF, but, it would cater to those who really do want a newsletter feature, especially if other scripts don't have this feature.
