First off, you can download the package from the downloadsection here called, TP files only, and upload them to your forum and overwrite the files you have there, and see if your forum show up.

Usually when a message say you cant open a file or itÂÃ,´s missing, a new file will fix the error, so download the file only package, adn uplod them into your forum.

Try those files, replace the files you have there, or rename the old ones as a backup (better choise) and then upload the files i gave you here

index.php in your forum root
index.template.php in your default theme
load.php in your source folder

Then download the repair settings.php file from SMF forums download section converters
Run the repair_settings.php from your browser, that will fix the SMF tables
Then download the TP-manual database only file and upload that to your forum root and run the file in the browser, that will fix the tables for TP

Strangem the error say you are missing the TP files, are you sure you have uploaded them correctly? and have you set the files to right permissions? (read)

I think you might have to contact your host and ask them to change the permissions to the files for you, or even better, if they can give you the rights to do it your self.
If the files dont have the reading or writing rights set, you will end up with errors like that all the time no matter what you do.

kk thx again for swift and prompt reply G6,

that could prove difficult as was hosted on a friends server and due to various things we rae no longer on speaking terms (thankfully i already put the site in maintenence mode and backed everything up "before" my gf installed tp.

So to sum up it seems that the old forum then is lost forever :( but have already installed a fresh copy on a new server) so all is not the end of the world.

I do have one more question but it is non TP related...where would i post this ?

many thanks again G6 for you time and help :)
