Dear Readers,
I have a new theory.....
As we all know that the symbol of the "heart" is often used for "romantic messages" and things to do with love.
You may hear expressions like "You are my heart" etc etc
But exactly how valid are these?
Well we know that the heart is one of the most important organs in the Human body.
But we also know that heart malfunctions and diseases have remedies available!
If the heart fails:
- it can be revived (if in time)
- a person can live on an artifical heart
Preventative methods also include:
- Engiography & Engioplasty
- Bypass surgery
- Pacemakers
- Medicines of various sorts
So we know that even though the heart is important but there can be "replacements" (even if very painful but yes there are)
Now lets look at another innocent member of our body: The Liver!
The liver cleans blood
And as we know without blood nothing can work
The liver also helps in digestion
The liver does a lot of other functions like store carbohydrates etc
BUT....did you know that IF the liver fails:
- There is no alternative..the person dies a horrible painful death
- Liver transplants are extremely difficult procedures since ALL the arteries pass through it!
If the liver gets diseased:
- The person suffers greatly!
- Their entire body including the heart is effected!
- It is life threatning!
So now to come to my main point in my theory.....
Liver vs Heart
Which is more important?
Well seeing the above - I would say the liver, because its just simply irreplacable!!
So why do we use the heart as a symbol of love?
Why do we tell people "you are my heart?"
We should be saying to our most loved and beloved ones:
You are my liver!
