i get this error

Fatal error: packageinstall(): Failed opening required '/home/eponnox1/public_html/Packages/temp/./install.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/eponnox1/public_html/Sources/Packages.php on line 534

any help greatly appreciated

An Error Has Occurred!
You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory or one of the files in it are not writable!

but the package folder is chmodded to 777

In your admin panel, looking in server settings) add your ftp.yoursite.com) username) password) should do the trick - if not will try something else.

Packages should be 755
