upload the display.template.php file again in the black 22 theme and in the default theme upload the memberlist.template.php and that should fix it

Do you use the calendar block? The one from block code snippets?
Title: Re: Forum Error! Please help!
Post by: rodman on April 20, 2006, 05:35:09 PM
Yup I do!

Is there something wrong with it?  :(

I tried removing that Block completely and am still getting errors?  Man they keep piling up. I remove all the errors but after I remove them all, and click refresh I've got about 3 pages already.  :-\

If you use the "recent topics" block code snippet, be sure to look in that code for ['newtime'] and change it to ['new_from'].

Block ..... you are the man!!

(https://www.tinyportal.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.rodvictoria.com%2Fboards%2FSmileys%2Fdefault%2Fbuttrock.gif&hash=a71ddc27039c5929951fb4d94b5e5f963d3e5b33)(https://www.tinyportal.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.rodvictoria.com%2Fboards%2FSmileys%2Fdefault%2Fbuttrock.gif&hash=a71ddc27039c5929951fb4d94b5e5f963d3e5b33)

No more errors!!! Now will changing the newtime to new_form affect anything on that block?  What did that actually do?
Title: Re: Forum Error! Please help!
Post by: bloc on April 21, 2006, 06:56:16 PM
It was a difference between SMF1.0.5 and SMF1.1. In the latter "newtime" was changed to "new_from". The code block snippet should reflected that, but it didn't at first, when a lot of people started to use it.

I'd say Bloc knows SMF inside and out.

Those errors come from the wrong theme version of what SMF version you are using.
You have TP Mercery for SMF 1.1rc2 when you actually should have TP mercury for SMF 1.0.7

Remove the mercury theme and install the correct one and you will be error free

Can you explain what smf 1.0.7 and 1.1rc2 are?  When I go into versions it says I have smf 1.0.7 1.1rc2 installed

If you look at the copywrite text in the bottom of your forum and portal, you see the version for your SMF

The rc2 you have installed is just a security patch that goes with both 1.0.7 and 1.1rc2

Here is the theme you should have installed

I installed that theme and it seems to work so far but the theme said it was for 1.0.5 1.0.6 TP0.75. I have 1.0.7 TP0.86
Where do I find the other themes that will work and will they say the same?
Should I install 1.1RC2?

No, i gave you the link to the right theme, 1.0.5 to 1.0.7 are the same

You can remove that button in the index.template.php file in Mercury, it doesent apply for the latest TP 0.86

I am error free except for the ones listed above that happen when I use any of the Tiny Portal functions: settings, blocks, articles and downloads manager.
Still don't understand what 1.1RC2 is?  Is it just another version of 1.0.7?  How can I change to or install 1.1RC2.  All the themes I set up to use were for 1.1RC2.  Finding documentation is impossible

Try the manual install, if that fails reinstall via package manager -- repeat if necessary..

Not sure when you say manual install.  I origionally uploaded using package manager. Looking in the TP zip file most of those files are not on my server or I can't locate them.  I have reinstalled using package manager a few times no results.  Would I be better off to uninstall the forum and install 1.1RC2 and start over?  My host offered smf 1.0.7 so that is why I started there.  I notice most sites use 1.1RC2. Am I wrong in that is just another version of smf? If it would be better to leave things like they are where can I find documentaion on manually installing TP.  Looking for advise, I have a deadline to get this up it is for a rodeo bible camp that needs it running by the 18th.  Thanks for any help or advise

Just upload all the TP files manually and overwrite the ones made by the packagemanager.

I could be that you have some corrupted file and or missing one out because of file permissions.
Extract the files from the TP package and upload then manually
