Can anyone give me some advice on webhosting?
Planning to put up my own now,but not sure on what i need or not.
The content will be a small blog,SMF anf gallery.
So any suggestions on what i should have,and so cheap as possible:)

I tried to install smf with tiny portal on lunarpages and it did not work. i then went to 1and1 and it works perfect. I have several php apps at lunarpages and they work great and lunarpages has better prices. it just did not work with smf and tp but it did work fine with just smf.

Christian at Montecarlo knows what he's doing. You really want someone who knows SMF too and has servers configured with SMF in mind.

Servage I am not totally sure about. I have heard mixed reviews of them and I just tried to install a forum on someone's site who is hosted on Servage and the ftp is a pile of junk, slow and always timing out.
Dreamhost. Don't know nothing about them. I would dare to suggest that they both oversell alot though! ;)

I have a few sites with them and no prblems at all. Very good support, good package, very little downtime. All in all, good value for money.
I writed an mail to them both now and asked a few questions,waiting for their answer:)
I host with UH Hosting (http://www.uh-hosting.co.uk/home/) and can't fault them. I have written a longer review of them over on simplemachines.org. I've been with them for 6 months now and have found them great.

I use the Bronze, I find its OK for me, but if you need a domain then the Silver as you get a free domain with that :)
