Lost the button?

Are you sure you have the TP theme installed? The smf only theme dont have the forum button, only TP themes have that

It's the one you click to access the forum

I know what you mean ;) What i meant was that you can have the wrong theme installed ;)

If you have a SMF only theme, you dont have the FORUM button, The forum on those themes are HOME.

Do you have a link to your site, its much esyer if we can see it

I have had exactly the same problem.. :(

SMF Version 1.1.5

and TinyPortal      1.052

In fact i have had numerous problems but because I am not familiar with TP I am not sure if it is user error or a problem with my installation.

What is strange is that the forum button was there when i first installed the TP package.
I just noticed that it disappeared and I cannot remember If I was doing anything to cause it (like changing some settings?)

I went to great lengths to try and solve the problem as I dont understand php at all, like a seperate hosting account (which I was going to do anyway),
A fresh install of smf and a fresh download and install of tiny portal. I have just finished all these steps and the forum button is still missing???????

I am starting to go a little  :idiot2: as I don't know what to do next?

PLUS when I change the width of the forum in the tiny portal settings it stays exactly the same??

and any changes I make to the blocks etc (which I dont have a clue about) seems to produce no effect!

Can anyone shed any light on my issues before I throw myself off a bridge?  :uglystupid2:

opps just added this http://lottyplot.com thought it might help

Seems like you simply changed the frontpage settings to go directly to the forum, when you change to that settings, it lean back to SMF layout with the default theme.

Admin/TinyPortal/ Settings and Frontpage, uncheck the catbox where it say "go directly to forum " and the forum button will show up again.

Oops apologies for hijacking this thread :'(

Just read the posting guidelines, yep, should have done that first :uglystupid2:

Hopefully someone in admin will go easy on me and split the topic?

Thanks

*GASP!* Someone read the posting guidelines! I think this calls for a party. :D

On a more serious note, thank you! Since this is already fixed and done, I'll just leave the posts here.
