Title: No one can get into the downloads section?
Post by: Mr. Ksoft on April 08, 2006, 01:08:29 AM
I have just noticed on my board that not a single guest or regular member can access the downloads section; just admins.  I looked in the permissions section and for the DL manager all I see are "manage downloads" and "upload file".  Am I missing something?  The site kind of needs the downloads to do anything, so help would REALLY be appreciated.

in the part of the downloadmanager where you add the content, you have the settings to the groups allowed to download and access the downloadsection.
Admin/TinyPortal/Downloadmanager/ "klick on the hammer and toolicon, and there you see the boxes you have to set for the groups permissions

That actually wasn't the problem, once I looked and saw everything was checked.  What I'd done was turned the module OFF because I didn't want it showing up in the User box, then made a link to it in my content menu.  Of course, when it's off, only admins can access it. >_< silly me.

Not that silly. There should be two options. One for turning the module on/off an a second for showing it in the UserBox!

..really?  All I can see in the userbox config are:

Avatar (if any)
Logged-in time

Unread replies/unread posts
Member Stats
Online users
Forum Stats

And in the modules config for the download module all it has is on/off.  Is my installation messed up or something?

I meant there SHOULD be a second option, it's not there up to now. ;-)
