Title: "action=downloads" For The Downloads Section?
Post by: anunlike on April 02, 2006, 08:27:26 PM
Is there any way that "action=downloads" (or something similar) could be used instead of "action=tpmod;dl=0"?

It'd make it look more integrated, considering the forum is "action=forum", the admin section is "action=admin", the profile section is "action=profile", etc.

Thanks.

I think Bloc may have avoided that because of Nesian's download mod that already did that. Not 100% sure, but I think I recall him saying something about that. Just my $.02

Oh OK. Thanks, IchBinâââ,¬Å¾Ã,¢

However, if someone has TP installed, doesn't that necessarily mean that they won't be using nesianstyle's "SimpleDownload" mod (or The Burglar!'s updated "Download RC2" version)? I mean, if the downloads section is already built in to TP, why would they need the mod?

They may prefer using it...

Yeah, true.

I guess I just don't see the point of making TP loosely accomodate another mod when the function of the other mod is already present in TP.

I mean, you could make it so that TP could be accomodating to another shoutbox, for example, but why would you do that?

Its more a way to add more functions through the module "gateway", hence the action=tpmod - and to avoid adding a bunch of action items into index.php.

This may be reworked later on though, but for now it will stay.

OK. Thanks.

I was mainly just curious.
