This might be too hard. I haven't seen other portal software able to do this so there might be some underlying reason.

It would be handy if stickies from a forum could be preserved at the top when the forum is used to display posts on the front page. Even better would be an option in TPadmin to turn this on/off.

I like to use a separate forum called "Front Page news" to produce the content for display on the front page. Sometimes, an important item needs to be stickied for a few days while new items continue to appear below.

I see. TP already has a option of with a article "on top"..so shifting that to a forum post instead should be possible. I probably need to see how the posts are fetched and modify that.

I'll let you know if its possible or not.
