Title: Render1 block
Post by: [chrisB] on March 16, 2025, 02:04:05 PM
I have a couple of questions about this page block which appears when you create it.
(https://i.imgur.com/BZ7ZgRd.png)

1. Does there happen to be a live example of why this is worth keeping?
2. Is there any ways to disable it without manual CSS edits?
3. If no means exists, is it safe to use:
Quote.render1 {
    display: hidden;
}

I realise the print function is there, but for most pages I don't see the purpose of me needing it. This doesn't mean other TinyPortal users won't, it's just in my use case I don't believe I need it. Hence, the request to see the feature in a working enviroment.

Did you uncheck the "Display print link in articles" in article settings?

I did in previous versions, and that just seemed to remove the print icon. I'll try with 3.0.2, as I have noticed I can now rewrite the forum URL, which I previously wasn't able to do and things may have been fixed or changed.

 :hmm:

I cannot check it now, since I am on holiday and do not have a laptop, but if memory serves, the render1 block contains multiple elements, the article info (where the line comes from) being one of them.

Not sure if the line is suppressed when you suppress all info in it (I think the print option is one of them).

I would check if there is a article info Div or something in the render1.
If so hide that instead

Thank you, rjen. Have a wonderful holiday.  O0

If you go to Article settings and deselect the options Display edit link in articles and Display print link in articles yopu will remove most of the 'block'

If you want to get rid of the horizontal line as well, that can only be done by changing css.
The line is actually the top border of this class...

.tp_article_inner {
    line-height: 1.4em;
    overflow-wrap: anywhere;
    border-top: 1px solid var(--tp_article-border);
    padding: 1em 0 0 0;
