Title: OOPS help an idiot
Post by: wiredgeorge on January 14, 2013, 02:11:07 PM

Link to my site: http://www.wgcarbs.com
SMF version: SMF 2.0.3
TP version: TP 1.107
Default Forum Language: English
Theme name and version: Mirage
Browser Name and Version: Firefox 17.0.1
Mods installed:
Related Error messages:

Just updated SMF and TP.  The TP contains block management and PANEL management in what is now obviously the right panel.  Trying to get rid of unnecessary white space in the Mirage theme I remove the right hand panel and thus the link to the block management and now my blocks are gone from my theme.  How can I manage blocks without restoring the installation?   In the earlier version of SMF, the block management was under the admin tab and not out on the front as it is now.  Thanks. wiredgeorge (computer illiterate).

if I'm reading you correctly? are you wanting to get ride of the white borders around the panels? if so this will take manually edits of the TPStyle.css, if this what your wanting I can make a file for you to upload to your themes main directory to possibly correct this issue?  I think I posted one a while back!

it can also remover the bgs and borders around the small avatars ( 4 recent post / Topics ).
plz let us know?

regards,
maxx

A couple of ways you should be able to see the TP menu.

As an admin you can always use the default theme to see the TP menu in the main menu at the top:

Or you can go directly to the TP Admin section:

From the link you gave, I can't see a link to your actual SMF Forum and can't find it.  Perhaps you could give us a link to your actual Forum so that we can see it.  However, I looked at your first message when you were first here last year and it appears that you upgraded from both SMF 1.1x and TinyPortal version 0.98.

Part of the problem you may be having is that, back then, themes were specially edited for TP 0.98.  At least part of your issue may be that the Mirage theme you are using may not have been updated to work with the latest version of SMF and TinyPortal, especially with displaying the TP Panels.  As Ichbin mentioned, switching to the default SMF theme until you have sorted things out may be your best option until you have been able to find a theme that is designed to work with these latest versions.

It's here Jim. http://www.vintagebikeforum.org/  ;)

The theme mentioned above "Theme name and version: Mirage"  isn't the one showing to us as guests though.  We are seeing "Yabb SE Classic 2.0, by Akyhn"

Ahh yeah.  Thanks Lurkalot. O0 I see that link in Ichbin's post now.  Anyway, I'm pretty sure that the Mirage theme is an old one that Bloc did though I can't be sure because I can't find it on my computer right now.
