Hi, it's me again :uglystupid2:
I'd like to know if there's a simple way to customize user profile and other blocks (like article) layouts.
I want to do things like:
- Edit user profile list order and change it's icons.
- Add in user profile other options (number of posts, badge, karma, sex, age, location, link to forum profile, logout, etc)
- Create a staff page
- Edit stats layout and order
- Edit aticle layout (use two or more rows in article subtitle, use icons for edit and print options, add a button for readmore)
I know that there's a lot of work for all these things, but can someone help me please?
.
Most of the things on the profile you are asking about is really SMF related
For the staff page we have some code here in our block code snippets board for something you can put in an article to list your staff. To use icons instead of links for print and edit in the article you'll have to edit the code to achieve that. There's a function called article_options() in TPSubs.template.php that I think has those links.
I have no idea what you mean when you say "two or more rows in article sub title". If you are talking about the author and article information at the top of the article, all those functions are in the file I just mentioned above.

Sorry, my mistake, I'm talking about user block, not user profile.

Thanks, I'll try this!

Yes, you got it! Sorry for my poor english :-[
Just two more question:
- There's a way to create a "button" for read more link?
- How can I remove images from quick list inside articles?
The user block is in the same TPsubs.template.php file for the block code I believe.
Read more links would have to be custom coded into it.
Removing images from quick list has to be done manually for now. Just remove the images from the directory on the server.

Ok! Thanks for your help! If you want to see it, now tinyportal is on my live site ( www.evezine.eu )
TinyPortal looks pretty good with that theme! Good luck on your site.

I agree, does look nice. Need to sort the logo out though neoxes. :D
It's one of the few themes that works really well with a portal, some look great with standalone SMF, but don't do much when you throw a portal into the mix. I added this theme a while back on my test site http://cctestsite.info/forums/index.php?theme=28 And have to admit it's one of my favourites. ;)

I'm looking for a great logo, but I've to find a good graphic designer first ???
