While I've come up with a workaround of sorts using the custom template function for articles, the default templates are still not working. So this is what happens when I start using the default templates.
- 1: The articles show up just fine on the frontpage.
- 2: When I click the title of the article it takes me to a page to view the article, however:
- a: The title of the article shows on the browser window top bar or tab depending on the browser.
- b: All of the other blocks and panels show up as they are intended to.
- c: Where the article would be placed, there is just a very long, blank white area.
- d: When I look at the area using Dragonfly in Opera (virtually the same as Firebug for you Firefoxers out there) the content framing divs are there (the ones placed to contain the whole article) but the actual article formatting and content is not.
- 3: I've made a temporary fix to this using the custom template function, however I would like to have the flexibilty and frankly... nice looking stock templates back.
I'm wondering if the templates might have gotten corrupted somewhere along the line, or if there is something else that has gone awry. I haven't installed or updated any mods recently, and the website itself has been stable for a good month. I can't seem to remember where the article templates are stored... If I did I'd have checked there already to see if my guess is right. Anyway, if there is anything I can do to help with diagnosis, let me know.
I'm not sure which items you view as being a "problem" so maybe you should state exactly what you have a problem with.
1. Great!
2. a. Yes, that is how it supposed to work. The title of the article becomes the title of the page.
2. b. ok, that's a good thing right? :)
2. c. Looking at your site, everything looks fine for me in Chrome. Are you only getting this behavior in Opera? Or is it a theme dependent problem with Opera. Check the default theme for the same problem.
2. d. Maybe related to 2. c.
The templates don't change, and aren't allowed to be changed without manually editing TP files.
Perhaps the missing article content might have something to due with the introductory text? I went to category 'Concerts' and saw this (attached screen shot)
The article on the right, is just a title linked to the full article. Is there introductory text in that article? Is the article set to use the introductory text?
