Is it possible somehow (possibly hardcoding?) to manually upload a file to a specific directy and be able to show it on the download module?
Reason being, my host only allowes 10mb file upload via browser, and I want people to be able to download various .wmv/.avi movies of 30mb-150mb from the download center.
Possible?
I hate to say it to you, but I think you did a really good host if you wanna allow movie downloads. Especially at 150MB. You could run outta bandwidth in no time...
BTW, you site is down...
I am aware of this Xarcell, lol. I posted a massive post (~700kb post) and it overloaded the server. :P
Sounds like you need a better server.
Of course, with the file transfer needs you're talking about, a dedicated server sounds like a necessity.
That doesn't mean anything - how the servers & accounts are setup and, in the case of shared hosting, how many accounts are on a single server are what matters. On my servers, located in major datacenters, I can squeeze an account down to where AOL service would look good.
The NAC Datacenter has its own issues, on top of this.
