Hi,
Guys basically my 1st post on here,i'm after some help basically i would like to know why tinyportal i have on my forum isn't showing my actual theme on the frontpage?
Also i recently changed my site from the usual / to the /forum/ address all of the site is ok apart from the front end theme.
Any help would be superb.......many thanks.....fish hooker.
Sorry guys i've just edited my post i need to know why tinyportal is not showing my theme on my homepage.
Looking at your site it looks like you have both TinyPortal and Simple Portal installed. That is not a good idea. I'd suggest you remove SP if you are not planning on using it. After you've done that, post back with what your frontpage settings are if you are still having the same problem.
Hi,
IchBin simple portal is disabled,is there anything else i could do to solve this problem with the theme?
I've noticed tiny portal isn't actually in my package manager on smf/showing as a mod, when i've tried to reinstall it,its conflicted with tiny portal which is still installed on my forum, basically tiny portal is installed on my site but theres no mod actually showing in my package manager could this be uninstalled any how so i could reinstall a fresh copy and see if this makes the difference to showing the theme? like i say the mod isn't showing in my package manager either.
any further help would be greatly appreciated, fish hooker.
Hi,
I have since solved this issue basically my forum has changed address to /forum/ i had to update the themes by downloading another version of simply blue theme then upload it to my site so my theme would follow the new path /forum/,one last thing,my theme is still showing as a default theme on tiny portal can this be changed at all?
thanks for the help guys, fish hooker. :)
Simple Portal still shows in your footer. I would not recommend having both of them installed. If you want to clear up the mods, you'll probably have to upload all new SMF files, and then install the mods again.
Your theme looks the same on the front page as it does on the forum for me.
Hi,
Ichbin,
I've solved the issue with tinyportal i'm going to have another attempt at removing simple portal and then re-install it,for some reason the actual simple portal mod isn't showing in my package manager with my admin cp yet its installed,i'm also going to ask on my forum providers support forum for help on removing simple portal.
Thanks for the help, many thanks, fish hooker.
@fish you might have to do a manually unstall SP from your forum. I ain't to sure.
Best of luck with it

fishhooker, hope that's a patched version of RC4 you're using? otherwise your site is not secure. IchBin's advice to upload fresh files might be a good way forward, and maybe upgrade to SMF 2 while you are about it. That way all your mods will be un-installed. Just remember to back everything up first, should anything go wrong.
I have the same problem. Everything worked fine, till this morning. Out of the blue, the portal index have started to show a different theme than the defaul one (total blue 2.0). I tried to uninstall and reinstall the theme, but it didn't work... Any hint?

If i clear the forum cookie, the index shows the right theme. Everything mess up again as soon as I log in.
Do you have any articles displayed on your frontpage? Did you check the option in any of your articles to show a specific theme? That is the only thing that usually causes this behavior.
I had no article displayed on my frontpage, just a non pubblished test article with the right theme settings. I deleted the article and now everything's fine. Is that normal?
I don't think so, but I'll have to do some testing.
Thanks for your great job! :)
