Title: Overflow-Y on recent topics block
Post by: nomadic on July 03, 2011, 02:25:20 AM
Link to my site: thecbg(dot)org/SMF
SMF version: 1.1.14
TP version: TinyPortal 1.0 RC1.1
Default Forum Language: English
Theme name and version: SilverPluss1
Browser Name and Version: Firefox 5.0

I have a quick question. I have a latest topics block which shows a list of the threads that have been recently posted in. I would like to show the latest 15-20 of these but that causes the block to get really huge. I have been playing around with using the CSS overflow attribute along with height to get it to do what I want but it doesn't seem to want to.

Basically what I want to have is a recent topics block that is a set height and if it has more content than it can fit within itself it overflows and gives you a scrollbar (kind of like the recent topics pane we have on our old e107 site at thecbg(dot)org). I know you can do it because I've done it before but we had a screwup with the database and I had to re-transfer everything and so lost my old tp settings and I can't seem to remember how I pulled it off last time.

Add this to /SMF/Themes/SilverPluss1/style.css?fin11

#block11{
  height: 100px;
  overflow: auto;
}
