I'm not sure I understand 100%. I have enabled avatars for recent posts on my site and they show just fine. However, the the TPguest.png file needs to be available in the tinyportal images folder. I don't understand how you are getting the jpg_thumb problem.

I found the reason for the problem .. but unfortunately not solved it.
Excuse me, but I was very busy and I could not write earlier.
I assure you that the installation SMF 2.0 RC 4 was 100% correct.

Everything works fine and no errors in the logs or in the CPA (ins SMF), or there are no errors server side.
TP Installation went well and everything is working properly. I am sure that these modifications, the above does not have any impact on the performance of TP. I checked it. I Install SMF (+ TP too), for many years, indeed many, many times and I can tell if something works well or not. I am writing this so as to exclude some disadvantages such as side SMF not entirely successful installation SMF or modification / style.
I stated one thing for sure .. It's definitely about users and visitors - without the avatars.
It turned out that the pictures do not show up, even when it is uploaded to an attachment to the post.
If you uploaded the attachment to a forum such as a file type - pdf, then avatars are not showing up
for it in the source of the page src = image -> points to the: src="./index.php?action=dlattach;attach=8;type=avatar"

When it is uploaded at least one attachment, the TP is trying to display it instead of a file TPguest.png
If this is a different file than the IMG - is in a block of Recent entries are double - x2,
If you uploaded the attachment type is IMG - entries are quadruple - x4
Maybe could use a function to check the type of attachment?
I can not cope with this problem. It seems like in this case over the TP was not compatible with SMForum ..
IchBin, and what do you think it might be a bug, or not?

Ok Roco, I think I see the problem. Only I don't know the answer on how to fix it. lol However, I've discovered part of the cause.
When SMF is first installed it has the topic titled "Welcome to SMF!". This topic is part of the cause. I'm not sure why yet but I did noticed that if a reply is posted to this topic that the avatars are then fixed. Let me know if you see the same result. I'm not sure if the query or the code needs to be changed yet. But I'll keep starring at it until I figure it out. :D

Ok, so it would appear that the problem appears only with a guest posts or topics.
Ok, found the fix for this:
Open Sources TPSubs.php and find this code about line #2435:

I found a solution, or so I thought now 14.02., but I have a stupid job as a freelancer.

I realized one thing, TP treats guests as regular members and tries to load them as Avarat - a real attachment.
I decided to check it out and reworked / broke the code of "avatar" - to the "image" and "href" first.

I've got more important things at the moment that to change the avatar code. However, if you'd like to create bug in our bugtracker and mark it as a feature request I will try to take a look at this before I release RC2 for TP.
I don't understand what you are asking about the layers. Can you explain more?
Tor is now being blocked here on this site because hackers/bots are using that network to try and brute force with it.
