Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
What are your front page settings? Are you saying you can't get them to display on the front page? You said "including the frontpage", so that doesn't make much sense to me.

Front page settings are set to display articles:
(https://www.tinyportal.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi219.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fcc164%2FBlueLeader32%2Farticle5.png&hash=20a14b396cf4c1563651529ceea91eb0ff2e7b63)
Yes I cannot get an article to display on the front page or the ones I usually can access by a internal link in the forums. I have tried creating new ones changing various settings and they just will not show up.
The articles are still there as shown here:
(https://www.tinyportal.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi219.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fcc164%2FBlueLeader32%2Farticle3.png&hash=20a2e9f2b162e97698eff42a6a7fc9e5576c7c95)
The front page displays this where the articles normally display:
(https://www.tinyportal.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi219.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fcc164%2FBlueLeader32%2Farticle1.png&hash=cd9d711b07f7f9513a1d2d253332f3356ef7fcb7)
If you click on an internal link to an article you get this:
(https://www.tinyportal.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi219.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fcc164%2FBlueLeader32%2Farticle2.png&hash=73394eb75d7ff9d5c7f8abc1ddd4ba8f9c8a113c)
Settings are activated and toggled on in the category area and I do not have any theme selected in "use only this theme":
(https://www.tinyportal.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi219.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fcc164%2FBlueLeader32%2Farticle4.png&hash=17840dd14586c08eefb2dd8e491c5b42b566d94a)
I have worked through all the other small settings and display issues on blocks and such but cannot get the articles to display. I have 6 or 7 front page articles and 6 internal like links to forum FAQ's and such. It seems like I am missing something that initiates or enables them to show but I dont know where to look?
I remember having an issue along the same lines. First, make sure the article is assigned to a category. Then make sure it is approved and enabled. You might also have to but it in a frontpage block.

Thank you for your reply but I already tried the block with a new article and I have had categories from the beginning and yes they are approved and enabled. I wish it were that simple it would for sure make my day. With the new look it would be easy to over look something like that so I focused in those settings initially. I did however go back and double check just to make sure. . .
When you post a link you need to make sure it's a link to your forum so we can see the problem. Does anything change if you change your front page options? Like Forum posts and Articles? Or Selected Articles?
Either you're upgrade didn't fully happen, or you have some setting some where causing this. I don't have any problems getting articles to display on the front page in SMF1.1.xx

OK so in a perfect world if I manually parse the whole upgrade things should display as they use to. I will post back up with the results of that endeavor, thanks for your response its much appreciated. . .
Please excuse the double post:
After reviewing and correcting all of the article and settings I now can view everything all articles in the default core theme. In helios which is my forum main theme I still cannot view any articles. I searched these forums and even reinstalled the theme but I get the same results? I am using helios_multi11final this may be an obvious fix but I have tried everything that I know and could find. If some one could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. . .
Here is the forums link Ichbin:
www.unifiedgamerz.net (http://www.unifiedgamerz.net)
It goes directly to the front page where the articles are not showing. Everything works like a champ in the default core theme but all the members like the helios theme that we have had for about 2 years now. I figured I would ask first before trying the TP upgrade again dont know if it would solve this issue and I am afraid something else will stop working lol!
Under Configuration, in Themes and Layout, could you select "Allow members to select their own themes." and "Allow members to select the "Default" theme." so that we can look at your site with the SMF default theme. I'm not sure what it is we are supposed to see. Maybe that will show us. Also, this theme you are using. I know it's one of Bloc's themes. Were you using the theme with your Forum when you had TinyPortal version 0.938 installed? Could you check "Current Theme" under Configuration and see if there is a selection for TinyPortal support? If there is, can you unselect that and save that page and see what happens.

Yeah I have gone through those settings a million times and I am starting to think this is going to be something really simple that I over looked. I am most of the time savvy to these kind of issues and search and try relentless amount of trouble shooting prior to posting. I do not see a TP support check box that I can un-select sorry. I have changed the front page "what to display" back and forth, the articles number and different article display settings to see if it would kick in but no go. I have all the articles in categories and the category setting including what users can see them, the little toggle on icons work but they just dont enable the article to display. Is there a certain .php file in themes that have TP articles settings that may need an edit to enable the articles to show? Is it possible that a TP theme file did not get updated during the install?
stipchaser, could you do as Zarprime suggested please?
If you have this problem while only viewing with the Custom theme, please attach the index.template.php file from that theme to your next post. Thanks.
Thank you IchBin!
Looks like a theme issue. Can you post a zip of that theme? It looks like Bloc had got rid of the SMF1.x version of that theme, so I'll need to install the theme and test things out to get it to work.
--edit--
Actually, go ahead and backup your file and try the one I've attached. Worth a shot. I removed all the old TP code that wasn't needed anymore, but I haven't been able to test it. If it doesn't work, I'm gonna need the theme zip so I can install and test.
Thanks IchBin, here is the zip no luck with the modified template file so far I tried various different settings and changed the themes back and forth with out any positive results.
Thanks again. . . .
Again, can select these two settings in your Admin (and save) so that we can look at your FrontPage with the default SMF theme? You don't have to change anything else, just those 2 settings I have the red arrow pointing to in the attached image.

EDIT
Done, Zar please check your PMs for the test user account I have created for you.
Thanks again for your assistance it is very much appreciated.
Well, you didn't give me full access so I can't really check anything as far as what is showing in the Helios theme and where it should be showing. However, I can tell you for sure that this is definitely a theme issue.
Here's the problem. The version of Helios that you are using was designed to work specifically with TinyPortal version 0.9.8. It has special edits in it that enable that version of TP to work properly. Versions of TP after that one do not require these special edits. I looked at the index.template.php that you attached previously and also the one that Ichbin attached and there are still calls to TinyPortal in the theme. Unfortunately, that theme is no longer available for any SMF 1.1.x version (with or without the TP 0.9.8 calls).
If you insist on using this theme, you have 2 options ...
1. You could upgrade your Forum to SMF 2.0 RC4. Bloc has a version of Helios that is available for this version of SMF and it works fine with the latest version of TinyPortal. If you wanted to do that, I would suggest that you first clone your live site to a test site, upgrade it from SMF 1.1.2 to SMF 2.0 RC4, install the latest TP to it, and then install the latest version of Helios. The theme is available on Bloc's site (http://www.blocweb.net/index.php?action=forum). This will give you a test site to play with to determine whether you want to go ahead and upgrade the live site.
2. The second option may be a little more difficult since this theme was from Bloc but Crip has a Theme Conversion Guide for converting old SMF 1.1.x themes for use with TinyPortal 0.9.8. Theoretically, you could look through the 2 files in the Helios theme directory that Crip specifies in his Guide and reverse the changes. The problem is that Bloc may have something in the theme that is not covered in Crip's Guide. Before doing this, you would, of course, want to backup the 2 files. If you want to attempt this, the link to Crip's guide is here --> http://web.archive.org/web/20070704194247/http://www.cripcan.com/cripconvert.htm

That is odd I specifically logged in and made sure I could change the themes under that account? Sorry about that. . .
Well either way on the other side of the coin I will have to make all my mods work with the new version of SMF so I am now stuck in the middle. I will just move forward and get it done BTW could you please let me know what application you use for parsing? I have been manually doing it with Dreamweaver, thanks for your assistance as always it is greatly appreciated.
Happy New Year! Looks like its going to be a fun weekend!
The problem is that you have an old TP file in the theme. Remove the TPortal.template.php file from your theme and everything should work fine.

Thanks Again Man!
Glad to help
I have this exact same problem. I put 'helios error' in the search box here and found nothing about it, but luckily stumbled upon this thread while reading through the forum before posting my own thread.
Hopefully the suggested fix will work for me, too O0
