Title: submit to frontpage

I cant submit my articles to the front page. When i click on the icon it goes green, then i press save then it loads the page but the article to frontage icon is faded again.

Try it while using the default theme. You should also update TP to the latest since there were a lot of bugs fixed in the latest version.

Sorry, i put the wrong version. I just copied this one is correct TinyPortal 1.0 beta 5.2

I just upgraded to the RC1 This error is in my error log.

I think I know what your issue is. I too had trouble finding this but in the end I managed to.
Solution: Goto your TPAdmin Section > Click on Frontpage and at the bottom of that page you'll notice that you have to set boards of that articles that you want to be displayed on the homepage. I'm pretty sure you haven't yet because I too had the same issue. Hope this helped :)

SimpleSEF was the problem. I removed it and now it works.

Are you saying that after you removed the SimpleSEF Mod, you no longer get the error in your error log that you mentioned 4 posts above?

Well, then it may just be that SimpleSEF is incompatible with TinyPortal then.  Does anyone on the Team know anything about SimpleSEF?  Any chance that it uses Ajax routines?
