Hi,
I've searched but I've not find a answer.
I've the TinyPortal 1.0 beta 5-1 installed but from what I see there's a limit of 200 articles on the frontpage, there's anyway to increase that limit?
You want to bring your server to it's knee's or something? There's a reason there are limits. Why would you ever need 200 articles to show on your frontpage?
What I mean is that the grand total of articles possible to see in the frontpage, in SEVERAL pages, don't exceed the 200.
If I have 10 articles per page the frontpage give me a total of 20 pages, if I chance the number of articles to 20 (for instance) the number of pages will be 10, there's a constant here and never, in the total, exceed the 200 articles in ALL pages.
I'm not so dumb to try to have 200 articles in a single page, so, making the question in a different way... if I have 20 articles to show in each page, the frontpage only shows the last 200 articles, meaning, the last 10 pages... there's a way to increase that number?
Yes, there's a limit on the amount of article paginated for the same reason. Asking a query to go in an grab that many results will of course tax your server. Especially if you have a high volume of users hitting your site. You can over-ride this setting in the Sources/TPortal.php file if you need. There are two places where it sets a hard coded limit. If you search for the variable $totalmax you will find those two lines you can change.
Thank you very much IchBinâ„¢ a.k.a. Brad, worked as a charm.
