Title: Using Javascript to Expand TP Article Size
Post by: azaslavsky on June 02, 2010, 11:42:03 PM
So I'll cut right to the chase: my problem is that I have a TP article which includes a table.  Due to various options that the user can select, rows can be added or removed at the bottom of this table (and content can be added or removed below the table as well).  However, when these selections are made, the article window itself does not increase in height, so the new stuff just gets hidden at the bottom, "below" where the article ends.  I am not sure if this is a CSS or Jscript question (probably both), but I am looking for a way to make the height of the article block increase/decrease proportionally with the height increase/decrease in my table when the user selects "X" option.  Any suggestions?

Thanks!

azaslavsky,

I guess I'm a little confused about this.  Are you saying that your members can make these changes to the article themselves?  Does it write the changes to the database?  Can you post the code you are using in the article so that one of our coders can take a look at it or so that I can try it myself on my test site.

A little more information would be helpful as well, like the SMF and TP versions, etc.  Also are you just showing this article on an article page itself or are you using a block to display the article?  Please Read and Follow the Posting Guidelines and be sure to use the posting template at the bottom of that post (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php/topic,581), so that it will be easier to help you with this.
