I have been searching all over the forum and found no answer for this.
I am having problems with shouts with accents like "não há". It shows like "nÃÆ'Ã,£o hÃÆ'Ã,¡"
What baffles me is that I used to have exactly the same installation on a test server and evrything was working fine. Now I got a different domain on a different server and hosting company, then I downloaded all files by FTP and then uploaded also by FTP. Finally, I also exported the DB at phpmyadmin from the test server, and imported it at the production server, also through phpmyadmin.
When I made the import, I made sure I was using utf8, since that was the charset of the exported DB in the first place.
On phpmyadmin I have double checked that the collation is utf8 on all TP tables, both at "operations" and all fields at "structure". Everything is set to utf8...
Also, in phpmyadmin I noticed that going to the table "tp_shoutbox" and clicking on "Browse", I see that on "Value1", the shouts made on the previous server look the way they are read: "Não há" but, the new shouts look like "não há".
So, it seems that before they were being written in normal characters AND displayed correctly... And now they are written in utf8 symbols and display incorrectly.
Im using SMF 1.1.11.
The only difference between the (working well) test installation and this one, is that this one has been upgraded from beta 5.0 to 5.1... Could this be the cause?
You may test them yourselves:

Production Install: http://www.legiao501.com/index.php
Thanks in advance!
If I remember right, this is a bug that is fixed in the next beta 5.2 version that Bloc has yet to release.
OK, great then!
I'll wait for Beta 5.2 and I'll see how it goes.
Thanks.
