Hi, for some reason when i create an Menu inside of the "internal" menu (because i cant create any others), they never show up in the sitemap side panel.
Any ideas why that could be happening?
im running SMF 1.1.11 and TP1.0 B 5-1
Thanks
Hello SpiderPig902,
It seems you have 2 different problems, "can't create menus" and "can't get menu items to show up in the sitemap".
Second one first ~ In the Menu Manager, when editing a menu, make sure that each menu item is {1} turned on, and {2} that "Yes" is selected for "Sitemap?" (see attached image below).
First Issue ~ To create a new menu, go the Menu Manager in TPAdmin and click the words shown below in bold ...

hi, i did create a new menu now. its called "tony". then created a menu inside of that which i attached a screenshot of.
It seems to be set right but does not show in the left block that i have set as sitemap. If i set the left block as "menu" then they show up.
I see. Is an empty block showing up with just the frame or is just not showing up at all?
Well, it does look like it's set right so I don't have an explanation as to why the sitemap block may not be showing up. I don't have an SMF 1.1.11/TP 1.0 beta 5-1 test site setup right now that I can confirm this on so one of the other Team Members may have to step in here and check this on one of their test sites. However, I don't recall anyone having a problem with the SiteMap block in beta 5-1 with either version of SMF.
If you already have it working as a menu block, I would suggest setting up another block and set it up to be a "SiteMap" block. The menu block and the Sitemap block can both run at the same time. For instance, on my test site (http://talesofthehavenexpanse.com/smf2test/index.php), the 2nd block down in the right panel is a menu block and the 3rd block down is a SiteMap block. Also, check your settings for the block and make sure it is set to show to some membergroups and that it is set to show in some location (Choose where the block should appear.). Try setting it first to show to all membergroups and to "Display on all pages and sections" first and then adjust it down later if needed.
If you still have problems getting it to show up, let us know and we'll do something else.

Hi, thanks for the info. This will crack you up.
I added a new block to the LEFT side called test and with the "Sitemap" type. Wolah it shows the "Downloads and the menus under that. i was excited, so i moved it to the left side and then it all went away but the "Downloads".
so i tried to re-add it to both sides and with different names and no matter what i do, it only shows the downloads now. very strange.
ok this is strange. when i add a new block for the "menu", then the menu items show up under the sitemap block also. if i turn off the menu block they turn off on the sitemap also.
why would it do this?

OK, now we have something that I can confirm. This happens to me as well on my SMF 2.0 RC3/TP 1.0 beta 5.2 test site. When you turn off the menu block or set it to not show to any groups (so that guests can't see it), the menu items are removed from the Sitemap block as well but the downloads remain in the Sitemap block.
I would say this is probably a bug. I will place this into the bugtracker
