Kind of an odd celebration day IMO.
QuoteCinco de Mayo (Spanish for "fifth of May") is a voluntarily observed holiday that commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza SeguÃÂn. It is celebrated primarily in the state of Puebla and in the United States. While Cinco de Mayo has limited significance nationwide in Mexico, the date is observed in the United States and other locations around the world as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride.Cinco de Mayo is not Mexico's Independence Day, the most important national patriotic holiday in Mexico.
Well yesterday was Star Wars day... May 4th....
...as in 'May the fourth be with you'....

LOL! it translates as "Thanks Crip and the same to you!" :)
I knew this part : ââ,¬ÂGraciasââ,¬â,,¢' but not the rest Lol.. :)
The reason it is celebrated here is...
Well everyone knows its the day Mexican forces beat a better equipped and more numerous French Army in Puebla Mexico.
But the reason we celebrate Cinco de Mayo in the US is because it was the last time a country from a foreign continent invaded the Americas.
now drink up....
Happy Cinco de Mayo
