Hi
I'm trying to install TP1 beta 5-1 on a fresh install of SMF2 RC3 and keep getting "Modification Parse Error" on action Execute Modification - SMF2RC3/tinyportal200rc3.mod
All necessary files have been made writeable and a 'temp' folder placed in the Packages folder.
Any ideas guys?
Also, is there a manual install available for this version of TP?
Thank you.
Manual install: How do I manually install TinyPortal (http://www.tinyportal.net/help/index.php?topic=29)
I've had the same problem. Have been through the manual install instructions but the seem outdated for the above combination of TinyPortal 5-1 and SMF 2RC2. The current archive has duplicate folders for different SMF versions and all sorts of upgrade files, making those manual install instructions impossible to follow.
Any help would be much appreciated.
If you go to the TP mod page at SMF you can click the parse button to see the manual install for your version of SMF.
Thanks, in process of manual install.
Just a quick query - not sure if it's deliberate, but if I compare the tinyportal1b5-1.zip from this site, with the tinyportal1b5.zip from the SMF site, there appear to be a number of folders missing from the SMF2RC3 folder in the newer release.
EDIT - This is giving me a headache. Followed instructions to the letter, went to access tp_install.php to be met with 'Table 'erithand_smf.smf_tp_settings' doesn't exist'
Think I'm gonna give up.
I think I might have answered my own question here....
As mentioned before, I set up a new installation of SMF2 RC3 and restored my old database then tried to install TP1 beta 5-1 and got the Parse Error.
I did this several times and each time I got the same error message but finally I've got it to work. :D
I installed SMF2 RC3 (again) and as before loaded in the database. I then started checking though the forum to see if I could see any problems. The only thing I could see was that I has several themes listed which I no longer had on the server (I'd previously deleted everything to start from scratch). I simply removed all references to the themes apart from the standard ones and that seemed to have done the trick - TP1 beta 5-1 then installed without a hitch :)
Just thought I'd mention it in case Alanmelon has the same issue.
