Title: server time out.
Post by: Jjsmb768ypl on March 16, 2010, 08:27:42 PM
I must be doing something wrong. im using
SMF 1.1.11
the latest version of TP

i upload np.
when i click apply mod
it does 1 of 2 things.
1) sometimes gives me a resource not available error
2)loads up with the file check every thing checks out ok.

now when it does number 2 you might think everythings ok why am i here asking questions.

after getting to the checks i press install mod
... ... ...
nothing it goes to a white screen with a vary log URL and sits there. page says its done loading. so i turn the page off go to my website nav to the packages and im back at the "apply mod" section.

what am i doing wrong?

Sounds like a server configuration issue. Have you checked your server logs to see if there are any errors in there?

Hard to say why that is happening. The files you should be looking for are usually called access_log and error_log.

new error from my host provider

Server Error
500 - Internal server error.
There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

500 usually means a permission problem  on your host.
