It works fine on the forums, so it confuses me as to what the problem really is. Any recommendations, would be much appreciated. I am comfortable with editing code, so I welcome anything you think might help.

This has never really been an issue in the past, though the issue has existed. The problem is that when you go to the FrontPage of a site in mobile mode (wap, wap2, imode), there is no way to drill down into the forum.
I have mentioned this to Bloc and he has stated that he will look at doing something in TinyPortal 1.0 beta 5 that will prevent this from happening. At this time, I don't know what the implementation will be, but at least you won't be stuck on the FrontPage without having a way to get back to the Forum.
Since an update for TP 1.0 beta 4 will not likely happen, in the meantime, the thing you will need to do is to inform your members that in order to access your Forum, they will need to use the following address ...
http://www.YourSite.com/index.php?action=forum;wap (or wap2 or imode)
This will avoid the FrontPage entirely but you must let your members know that if they somehow get back to the FP, they will need to use the address above to get back to the Forum. Of course, don't forget to replace "www.YourSite.com" with your site.
