Title: Site not working when members not logged in
Post by: kmccann on January 30, 2010, 02:06:51 PM
Hello,

I'm having a major problem with my site. If a user is logged in, all is OK, if not logged in, this is the message one gets when going to the homepage:

8: Undefined index: 5
File: /mydir/Sources/TPortal.php
Line: 1490

This is line 1490:

  $context['TPortal']['current_category']=$context['TPortal']['catnames'][$row['category']];

Note that if an action is provided, it'll work, so I can login by going to:

mysite.com/index.php?action=login

This is a busy site and I'm getting a lot of flak. If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it.

SMF:  1.1.6
TP:  1.0.5 beta1
OS: Linux

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

The search is your friend.  Have a look at this topic --> http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=25812.0

Also, I would suggest that you update your Forum to the latest SMF and TinyPortal at some point.

Thanks for the assistance. Problem solved by checking the category permission boxes. Not sure how they became unset. I'd like to update to the latest version but I couldn't get TP to install properly (that's another story for another time).

Well I would definitely update SMF. THere have been numerous security fixes since that version.
