Title: Admin to TP
Post by: tunkadata on January 17, 2010, 04:50:23 PM
I have been successful in installing TP,

I obviously do most work in admin. I have, still am looking through your docs.

Could some kind soul put me on the right track please?

I have no idea how to get the address for the portal and do I need a tab for Bz22 theme for the portal?

I have seen add button or tab doc and it looks a lot of work.

Thanks even for a bit of help.

If TP installed correctly it should be at the root of your forums... some like:  http://www.yourforums.com/index.php
As for a forum button I believe BZ22 will autodetect TP and install a Forum button automatically...

Post your BZ22 index.template.php file here i you don't have the home and forum buttons.

I think I have what is going on the front page,

I managed to include users online and it shows on the forum on the right.

In SMF default theme the 'home' has three posts on it which is a bit confusing.

Thanks Renegd98 I will see if I can get some more blocks on the forum, maybe left this time.  :D

I managed the RSS up to a point but it never showed any items and I said 10 as a test. Also the RSS address went off of the block, maybe I need to increase the size of the block.

I looked at your site with the BZ22 theme (http://jungaling.com/Selamatdatang/index.php?theme=4) and, for some reason, the Forum button is there but not the Home button.  I am going to have to install the theme on my test site to see if this happens on my site as well.  In the meantime, I want to make sure you have installed the correct version of the theme.  Did you install the "BZ22 theme for SMF 1.1.x / TP 1.0"?

The rss issue is another issue, but let's take care of one thing at a time.  If you want to give me the link to the rss feed you are trying to show, I'll check it on my site to see if it works for me.  Some rss feeds just don't work right because they aren't always parsed correctly.

Edit:  I checked the theme on my test site and both the Home button and the Forum button are on there.  See this link ...

I took the home button out of bz22 zarprime,

I took it out because when I clicked on home it was shooting my mother and child image off the page thats in the news scroller.

I know I will have to do the same on bz22 later on for the portal but for now I am working with the default.

It was nice of you to take a look but I think I will take another look tomorrow.

I am all portaled out.

:D

Probably when I want that bz22 back on the portal.

I may need to install the home code again but I hope not.

Thanks zarprime, you helped today.
