Title: YouTube in portal block?
Post by: fmofmpls on November 25, 2009, 06:38:27 PM
Hello. Why can't I seem to get a YouTube vid to show itself in a TP block? I've tried everything I can think of. Embed video code within an html TP block doesn't seem to work. All I get is the code text. The Auto Embed Video smf mod works fine within a TP code, but I don't want a 400 pixel vid to show in the portal box.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I'm running smf 1.10 and TP 1.052

Why not use the html bbcode tag? Or perhaps just use something like AEVA?

I'm using AEVA, but I'm trying to place the video within a TP block (or box). The AEVA mod works for this, but it shows the vid at too large of a size. I need control over the size of the vid that it displayed. I tried placing the vid embed code into a TP html block, but all I got back was raw text. Must be a bug? Or some other mod conflict?

Are you using an editor for your block? If so, you need to go to the source code to paste your html code. There should be a button that looks like <> in your editor. Click that, then delete what's already there and paste the code in.
