Post by: Swampy on November 08, 2009, 12:58:22 PM

It is not an error in TPshout. The filename is often the point at which PHP decides to throw an error. However, PHP is usually handling many files at one time, so the filename is not always correct. The error you have however, means that you have a syntax error somewhere in your pages or blocks etc where you have typed the word void. It is most likely missing single apostrophe's or something of that nature. You can find out what page it's happening on by viewing your log on each page load to see when it happens. If it only happens on a certain page, then report back here which page it is. If it happens on all pages, it is likely a problem in the index.template.php file.

I cannot help you unless you follow my suggestions that I posted above. You need to figure out WHAT PAGE this is happening on. This will tell me where you need to look for the problem.

ok. Here is some step by step instructions for you to do.

1. Open a browser with two tabs (or windows). One tab on the error log page in SMF. And the other tab on your frontpage.
2. Clear the SMF forum error log. (If you don't have a busy site, do this while no one is on). DO NOT BROWSE ANY PAGES AT THIS POINT.
3. Now, refresh your frontpage.  Do not do anything but go to the next step.
4. Now refresh your error log. Each time you refresh the error log, you take note on whether the error appeared. Clear the error log at this point.
5. Now go to your forum index page. Do not browse any where else.
6. Now refresh the error log. Clearing it after taking note if the error appeared again.
7. Follow this pattern for each page (topic listing(message view), topic view(viewing posts in a topic), viewing an article etc., each time checking the error log.
8. Report back on which pages the error occurs, even if it doesn't occur on any of those pages.

Thank you.  I will have to do this when the site is not busy, perhaps 4 am in the morning eastern time.   I will be out of town for a few days and will get back to you when done.

Again much thanks

Or simply put the site in maintenance mode
