I have the forum so it reads from just 1 Certain for i chose 9our news one) which is great, but is it possible to show the first post only and not the latest reply?

You can check the block code and snippets board and see if there are some code there you can use, there are several codes there with diffrent layout and options on how to show posts etc so it's just to put on some tea, browse to the board and start reading through them :D
I have my tiny portal set up over at www.twingooc.com and under the shoutbox i have an article and then under that i have chosen it to feed the information from a specific board in this case my News Board.
So everything posted appears on the Front page which is fine, BUT the porblem is if someone replies the latest reply will be on the home screen? Is there a way to keep just the first post there instead? A guide for a newbie to do this would be ace as to what code i use and exactly were it goes!

Are you talking about what gets shown on the Front Page? I may not understand exactly what you are asking here but I just took a look at your site and the posts from your News Forum are all showing the first post in the topic with a link at the bottom which lists the number of comments to the post.
For instance, "Top Gear Twingo stunt" on your site shows the first post from that topic. It's the one with the 3 pictures. At the bottom of that post on the Front Page, do you see where it says "41 comments | Write Comment". The first post from that topic is being shown. I think this is what you are asking for, but I'm not sure. If so, then it is doing what you want it to.

I think this is the same issue that you have posted in the Support board. It's not a good idea to cross post the same issue in 2 different locations as it confuses things. In addition, rather than making another post in the same topic a minute after your first post it's a good idea to edit your first post. Please keep these things in mind.
In the meantime, I will merge this topic with your other topic on the same issue in the Support board so that we can cut down on the confusion.
