Title: Dark-f theme
Post by: newbies2007 on September 15, 2009, 03:04:45 AM
Hi guys,
I have this one question, really appreciate if someone can give me a lift? I downloaded this dark-f theme, looks great :-) I am now trying to link the logo (top left) back to my website, but couldn't find the link url anywhere? Can someone please help?

Thanks very much,

I've found this, but not sure if that's the one.

<a href="'.$scripturl.'?action=forum" title=""><span id="logo"> </span></a>';

Thats how you learn! Good work! Making a backup of your file before making changes will save you many headaches. Hope you're doing that. :)

OK, well if you want me to try to help, I first need for you to Please Read and Follow the Posting Guidelines (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php/topic,581), and give us all the information requested at the bottom of that topic, including a link to your site so that I can see the site and the logo.

Also, tell me exactly what you are trying to do.  A screenshot might help.

index.template.php file. If you were to search every file in your theme folder it wouldn't be too hard to find. :)

Hello,
It seems too easy for you guys, but it's sort of hard for me, since I am not familiar to this language, and still learning.  I've searched every single file in the theme folder, but couldn't find the link I am looking for. Here's my url: www.shopgoldbar.com/forum/

If you right click on the logo/ view source, the url in line 72 is the one I am looking for..I want to change that line to just shopgoldbar.com/ so when people click on the logo, it'll back to my main site.

**/public_html/forum/Themes/Dark-f, under this dark_f folder (index.template.php), I found this "<a href="'.$scripturl.'?action=forum" title=""><span id="logo"> </span></a>", I believe it has to do something with url that I am looking for.

Thanks guys, I'm really appreciated..

Is it you want the logo/banner => pointing to a different location than Forum?

Hi Crip,
Yes, I want to link back to shopgoldbar.com when member click on the logo (shopgoldbar forum).  So, what should I replace the code that you posted with?

Replace this: <a href="'.$scripturl.'?action=forum" title=""><span id="logo"> </span>

With this?

a href="http://www.shopgoldbar.com/" title="Home!"><span id="logo"> </span></a>';

Thanks,

ps. I could find the url above, but couldn't find the code that I saw when I right click on the logo -> view source...should be in index.templates.php file, but it's really not in there..not sure why though.

Don't be afraid newbies2007. If you make a backup of your file before you make any changes you can simply restore it if there's a problem. Glad you got it working.
